A new World of Hyatt and American Airlines AAdvantage loyalty partnership lets you earn more rewards points & miles when you travel. You can earn World of Hyatt points on American Airlines purchases and you can earn American Airlines AAdvantage miles on Hyatt purchases. When you have an elite membership status with either loyalty program, you can earn bonus points for your travel purchases.
If you only have basic membership status with either program, you won’t earn bonus points when you book travel with the other travel brand. For instance, as a World of Hyatt member, you won’t earn bonus points when booking American Airline flights. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t earn World of Hyatt bonus points in other ways.
Earn World Of Hyatt Bonus Points On American Airlines Purchases
You will earn one World of Hyatt bonus point per dollar spent on American Airlines flights. To qualify for this bonus, you must be in one of the following World of Hyatt membership tiers:
- Lifetime Globalis
You instantly earn Discoverist status by owning the World of Hyatt Credit Card. Plus, as a cardholder, you will also earn 2 Hyatt points per $1 on all flights booked directly through the airline.
As an example, if you spend $300 on an American Airlines flight, you will earn the standard AAdvantage miles for your flight plus 300 World of Hyatt bonus points through this new partnership.
Earn AAdvantage Bonus Miles On Hyatt Purchases
American Airlines AAdvantage members with elite status will earn one AAdvantage bonus mile per eligible dollar spent at Hyatt properties. This bonus is open to the following AAdvantage elite status tiers:
- AAdvantage Gold
- AAdvantage Platinum
- AAdvantage Platinum Pro
- AAdvantage Executive Platinum
- ConciergeKey Members Get World Of Hyatt Globalist Status
If you belong to the invitation-only ConciergeKey program, you can get automatic World of Hyatt Globalist status. This perk lets you experience the best benefits of both loyalty programs.
As a World of Hyatt Globalist member, you can enjoy on-site Hyatt perks including free hotel breakfast (including the boutique SLH properties), Club lounge access and free premium internet. Hyatt also waives the resort fee on award night stays and you still earn 1 AAdvantage bonus mile per $1 spent on Hyatt stays.
It’s not often that airline and hotel loyalty programs partner together. If you prefer flying on American Airlines and staying at Hyatt properties when you travel, this new loyalty collaboration can be a win-win for your loyalty accounts.
