British Airways’ owner IAG is planning to launch a new long-haul low-cost operation from Barcelona. IAG, which also owns Iberia and Vueling, wants to initially use two Airbus A330 aircraft on transatlantic routes from El Prat airport starting in June 2017. What’s unknown is whether the company will create a new airline or use its existing carriers. Destinations being considered for the new low-cost service include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Buenos Aires, Santiago in Chile, Havana and Tokyo. To read more at Buying Business Travel, click here.
