LaGuardia Construction Woes Continue

Carey Limousines has sent an advisory to its agency partners warning of substantial delays at LaGuardia due to construction of its new terminal building. In August, the TSA recommended that travelers flying out of LaGuardia arrive at least two to two-and-a-half hours ahead of their scheduled departure. Another challenge presented by the construction is the absence of parking for commercial vehicles, particularly at terminals B and C. Per Carey, chauffeur’s cannot park their vehicle and enter these terminals to greet passengers with any degree of efficiency. The bad news for travelers is that traffic at LaGuardia will be problematic for the next four years! Many agencies are advising their clients to avoid the airport altogether and instead use JFK or Newark. If you’re going to use the airport remember to allow additional time for traffic, and if you’re booking a limo you might consider curbside pickup.
