Wynn Resorts has announced preliminary plans for a 1,000-room expansion of its Las Vegas strip property featuring a 7- to 10-acre lagoon that will leverage the latest in design technology to conserve water and offer a groundbreaking beach-like setting in the Nevada desert. Steve Wynn described the lagoon as the centerpiece around which he will develop the 38-acre Wynn Paradise Park project, located at the current Wynn Las Vegas complex. As part of the full project, the resort would add a new tower. The lagoon would feature a mile-long perimeter of white-sand beaches and a boardwalk; host water skiing, paddle boarding, and parasailing; and offer evening fireworks displays from an island in the middle.
