The Opportunity

Teplis Travel has an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic, passionate Director/VP of Marketing who will be responsible for planning, implementing and managing our overall corporate travel management services marketing strategy. Director level dependent on candidate background and experience. This role requires a self-starter who can assume responsibility for leading an effective marketing strategy to propel company growth. The ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective and possess a proven track record in ROI driven B2B marketing through both traditional and digital channels. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to lead all aspects of a company’s marketing strategy and tactics. The candidate will work cross-functionally to understand marketing needs, act as a company brand ambassador to external sources, and drive revenue growth through successful marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities
• Develop compelling and powerful messaging across digital and traditional marketing channels that resonates with prospects, customers, and partners, and differentiates Teplis Travel from the competition.
• Develop sales enablement programs, presentations, and tools to clearly communicate intended value propositions and support the selling process.
• Oversee ongoing competitive intelligence initiatives and market analysis to identify opportunities to differentiate solutions
• Develop the market requirements, buyer personas, and segmentation details/definitions necessary for product and content strategy, sales enablement, and field marketing execution.
• Broadly engage the marketing and sales team in local and national social and professional events.
• Manage and grow the team, leading development of new marketing campaigns.
• Closely collaborate with our CTO to identify, integrate and maintain key marketing technology.
• Collaborate with our digital media partner to plan, execute, manage, measure and report the performance of search and social media marketing.
• Communicate with clients, partners and prospects as needed.
• Manage and remain accountable for Product Marketing annual operating plan and budget.
• Can forge a close partnership with our Sales team (RFP response creation, Proposal formulation, Power point, Salesforce).

Qualifications
• The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years of prior marketing leadership experience leveraging a balance of digital and traditional strategies.
• This individual must demonstrate excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication experience, an ability to get things done, manage multiple stakeholders both internally and externally, work in a true ‘east-west’ operating model with both direct line and dotted line team members, build consensus and resolve conflict in a highly collaborative manner
• Must be diligent at measuring and communicating progress to achieve targeted business results, identifying obstacles and associated remediation plans.
• Possess a sense of ownership and pride in performance and its impact on company’s success.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Strong background and experience leveraging the latest Digital Marketing techniques (Email, Social Media, SEO, SEM, Online Lead Generation, Mobile, etc.).
• Background in coordinating Traditional Marketing tasks/initiatives from a strategic and tactical perspective (Marketing Mix, Competitive/Market Research, Trade-show/Conferences, Promotions, Advertising, PR, Branding).
• Bachelor’s degree a requirement. MBA or Masters degree a strong plus

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding sales performance objectives and growing the company’s annual revenue.
  • Proactively identify sales opportunities, manage sales funnel and execute the sales process end-to-end through lead qualification, needs analysis, product demonstrations, contract negotiations and close.
  • Ability to articulate the value of complex travel technology solutions.
  • Possess a comprehensive knowledge of current travel industry trends, and third-party travel products and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of knowledge about Teplis’ products and services, as well as the competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with sales management on sales opportunities and obstacles throughout the sales process.
  • Document all sales contacts and activities in Salesforce and communicate activities to sales management.
  • Share input with other departments in preparing sales materials and presentations.
  • Be an active team player both on the sales team and throughout Teplis to help meet company objectives.
  • Ability to travel to for customer presentations, trade shows, and networking events.

Job Description

Teplis Travel is looking for an enthusiastic sales lead generator. Responsible for business generation activities for our sales team. This includes cold calling to qualify new contacts, developing relationships, and finding new opportunities. This position is focused on the opening stages of the sales process and customer business travel needs. The Sales Development Representative will quickly develop rapport and open conversations effectively providing qualified appointments for the sales team. Requires ability to work with minimal supervision and will report to the Vice President of Business Development.
