Monica Teplis, President, has been instrumental in steering Teplis Travel since its beginning in 1972. Monica is responsible for increasing the scope of Teplis Travel to become the international travel management firm it is today. She expanded operations establishing a West Coast Reservation Center in Las Vegas to complement our National Reservation Center in Atlanta. She led the company to invest in vital technologies which enabled Teplis Travel to surpass $100 million in annual sales during its third decade of operation. Monica will take an active hand in seeing that your company receives the service it deserves.
Gary Teplis, Chief Executive Officer, has been successful as a venture capitalist in commercial real estate, aviation and the travel industry (he was an original partner in Travelscape.com, which was an industry leader before being purchased by Expedia). Gary brings value to our team as he constantly searches for new innovations and technology to enhance our service capabilities.
Van Henderson, Senior Vice President, Account Management, joined the Teplis Team in 1985, after working 10 years with Delta Air Lines where he held various positions in management, reservations and sales. With over 33 years of travel industry experience, Van has an extensive background in business travel and will aid our team as they craft workable long-term solutions to your travel management needs.
Linda Alexander, Vice President, Operations, has been with Teplis since 1996 and has over twenty-five years travel agency experience including corporate and multiple-branch management responsibilities with a number of Top 50 agencies. Her responsibilities at Teplis Travel include direct supervision of the areas of Corporate Reservations, Onsite Operations, International, Groups, Vacations and Quality Control. Linda will support our Client Services Manager in resolving all agent issues.
Jeff Warshauer, Vice President, Global Sales, comes to Teplis from the Midwest where he served most recently as Global Sales Consultant for Adelman Travel Group. In addition to travel management, Jeff also has 15 years of progressively responsible sales roles in the finance and advertising industries. Fully versed in meeting the needs of clients with a global footprint, Jeff brings valuable experience to his position which will benefit our clients as we create custom solutions to meet your travel needs. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
Don Coe, Controller, has been with Teplis since 2005. Don manages our back office and accounting operations. His responsibilities include setting up client profiles and invoice schedules, analyzing client pricing and productivity, issuing daily reports and briefing the ARC department. He is also responsible for employee payroll and benefits. Don is a graduate of Kennesaw State University.
Carol Kanaverskis, Director of Client Services, is a 27 year travel industry veteran and has been a Teplis employee for over 22 years. She has worked as a front line corporate agent, a member of our Accounting team, Branch Office Manager, and now manages our Client Service Department. Carol’s well rounded travel background makes her an excellent choice to head up our customer service team.
Hal Pierce, Director of Marketing, brings an extensive background in brand management, marketing strategy and sales support services to Teplis and has been instrumental in helping the firm generate over $200 million in new business by adding Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies and major non-profit organizations as clients. Prior to coming to Teplis Hal worked for the American Cancer Society, Teleguide Convention News, MCI and Creative Loafing. He attended the University of Tennessee and is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
Matt Campbell, Director, Information Technology, has 17 years of travel industry experience, and has certifications in Travelport Script Pro & Cornerstone’s IQCX®. Before transitioning to a technical role, Matt worked as an agent providing service for major accounts like MGM Resorts International, Oak Hill Capital Group and Yokogawa. Matt recently earned his MBA from Kennesaw State University.
Joannie Griffith, Director of Online Support, has been in the travel industry for over twenty-nine years, working as a corporate agent, a leisure agent, and in group and incentive travel. She has been with Teplis for 15 years, during which time she has become an expert in the administration of online booking systems.
